Commuter Tips and Tricks
We want to help you be as successful as possible during your time at Buffalo State! We've created a short list of tips and tricks that we hope will get you involved in our campus community.

Get to campus early to beat traffic and to get a good parking spot!

Talk to other students, faculty and staff!

Get involved in campus life by joining a student organization or club.

Attend lectures, special programs and campus events.

Go to the Houston Gym, Kissinger Pool and Fitness Center on campus to work out or exercise.

If possible, find an on campus job.

Join an intramural team.

Utilize study areas on campus such as the library, the Campbell Student Union ("The U") or study lounges within department areas.

Don’t eat lunch in your car- stop in the Union to grab a bite to eat.

We have numerous opportunities for commuter students to get involved on campus ranging from commuter appreciation week to commuter breakfasts and more!
This is a commuter student only listserv and our main method of contacting our commuter population. It is a great way to stay in the know about campus events and commuter-specific programming! You will be automatically added if you registered as a commuter student.
